A fascination with objects and their shifting meaning is central to Dead Paisley’s practice that straddles sculpture and curation. She uses our relationships with our memories, and stories to embed simple things with complex feelings.
“I work with found materials, installation, and wearable artworks to explore our deep, often fetishistic relationships with things—how we collect, cherish, and assign meaning to them. Through surreal curation and surprising encounters, I invite audiences to reconsider the things they hold onto and the stories embedded within them.”
Paisley is an artist, curator, and director of Umbrella, which she established in 2020. Since completing an MA at CSAD in 2019, she has curated over 30 exhibitions across South Wales, including Millennium Centre, Chapter, & Elysium.
