Cheryl Lewis’ work manipulates the fusion of objects and ideas which at first seem to be disparate or unrelated.
Her work at g39 encouraged the reminiscence of childhood times when things lived under the bed. Over-sized lampshades eerily swung close to the floor suspended on long ‘stems’ which, on closer examination, turned out to be stretched baby vests and tiny clothes hangers.
Cheryl completed her studies in fine art at UWIC, Cardiff in 1997 and has since received several awards and travel bursaries. She is currently based in Buxton, Derbyshire.
