Adam is a London based British-St. Lucian transdisciplinary artist who works with dance. His work examines multiculturalism, unity and resilience, synthesising material, sensory and spiritual dimensions of the self with the world and with others.
Kaleidoscopic and sensitive, collaborative and socially engaged, he applies and observes embodied processes transforming across dance, moving image, painting, sculpture, sound and writing. He designs, builds and nurtures performance installations that establish and reciprocate care, intimacy and abundance for himself with others and the environment.
A Trinity Laban Leverhulme Performing Arts Scholar with an MFA in Dance Creative Practice, his work has been supported by Jerwood Arts, Hypha Studios, UP Projects and Flat Time House, a-n The Artists Network, Theatrum-Mundi, Jupiter Artland, Haarlem Artspace, and Newham London. Adam has presented work at London Topophobia, Limehouse Town Hall, Siobhan Davies Dance, RAWLab (Bow Arts), The Yard, Hackney Wick, Haarlem Artspace, [SPACE], Guest Projects, Newham and Old Stratford Town Hall, The Place, London, Kunstraum, London, and Flat Time House. He currently teaches Camden Art Centre’s Youth Collective Transformative Futures programme, and writes for Dance Art Journal.
