A Creative Response Workshop with Durre Shahwar

Join DAC artist and writer Durre Shahwar for a two-hour, in-person workshop exploring the relationship between moving image, text, and creative writing.

Using a moving image film and a selected text connected to the exhibition as starting points, participants will be invited to watch, read, discuss, and reflect together. Through guided conversations and writing exercises, the workshop will encourage creative responses to themes raised by the exhibition, offering opportunities to explore personal perspectives, memories, ideas, and observations.

The session is open to people of all experience levels and anyone interested in creative thinking, storytelling, and responding to art through words. No previous writing experience is required.
