Predominantly working with lens-based media, Williams’ practice also uses installation and painting to explore Queer lifestyle and theory, spanning from the local gay to international perspectives. As a Queer Welsh Artist he is interested in the dynamics between art and activism in raising awareness of historical and contemporary discrimination towards the LGBTQ+ community, challenging Heteronormativity, and working towards positive social change.
G39 1-2-1 sessions
On 31/08/23-02/09/23 we’ll be holding 1-2-1 sessions with artists. These are informal 45 minute conversations, where we can talk about your current practice, specific things that you are working on, or we can focus on one particular aspect like fundraising or writing about your work. We want to use these to connect with artists working in Wales. We can hold these on zoom or meet in person at g39. Please let us know if you would prefer a 1-2-1 with Anthony Shapland, Sam Hasler or Caitlin Davies.
