The Pam Open is an annual exhibition, which started out as part of the madeinroath festival in 2009, originally taking place in empty shops and pop up spaces around Roath, the show has been hosted by g39 for the last 7 years.

‘If you bring it we will hang it’ has always been the approach, with no one
being turned away, and each individual artwork speaking in its own unique voice, alongside many other voices, sharing equal space and together creating the rich and joyful collective artwork that is the Pam
Open. Many thanks, to our 2026 judges Husna Hossain, Daniel Lazenby and Hannah Walters, and extra special thanks to all the contributing artists.

Pam is an artist-run organisation which works at a grassroots level to
support an ecosystem of inclusive artistic activity in East Cardiff. Co-run
by Clare, Helen, Nasima and Gail, Pam works collaboratively with artists
and communities across Cardiff in many different media, including
broadcast, visual art, print, growing, cooking and eating together.
