Dutch artist Nicolaas van de Lande, one of the exhibitors in the SurveyII exhibition, welcomes artists, students and those who are interested to join him in an afternoon making session. Participants will co-create a work of art under the guidance of the artist in which they will learn to master the technique of flocking. Participation is free of charge and participants will have the opportunity to bring home a self-made, flocked item.

Nicolaas van de Lande is an artist working with installation, sculpture and photography. His installations are composed of sculptures and found objects which gesture towards the ontological idea that everything is plastic – meaning that unchangeable forms do not exist.

Nicolaas studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy, NL (2016) and did an MA in contemporary art practice at the Royal College of Art, UK (2019). Solo exhibitions include Sleazy Decorations: Party Time in Croyden, Croyden Arts Store (2018) and Breehornstraat 113, solo show, self-initiated project in a social housing complex, Amsterdam (2016/17). Group exhibitions include Royal College of Art graduation show, (2019), Ambiguity, No Studio, Amsterdam (2019), Textures of Taste, Paleis van Mieris, Amsterdam (2016) Dirty Daisies, Art The Hague, The Hague (2016).
